APEX Airline Public Company Limited (APEX Airlines) was incorporated on 27th November 2012 for the purpose of providing International and Domestic Air Transport Services and was awarded a provisional Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) to commence its startup process. APEX Airlines started passenger transport operations on 7th April 2015.
We are a full-service airline based in Nay Pyi Taw; the capital city of Myanmar (Burma). We are providing the same services to the customers of ‘SO’ domestic flights which sell for mono class and intend to have operations and sales of international routes are based on a hybrid model, which combines low cost and service, at affordable fares.

Going Green
APEX Airlines has a focus on going green and being environmentally friendly. Our goal is to have less wastage of resources, focus on recycling and having policies and processes in place for reducing our carbon foot print.
Base of Operations
APEX Airlines is based in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar’s capital city. We currently operate from Nay Pyi Taw to domestic destinations using brand new state of the art ATR 72 – 600 aircraft. As we expand our services, we will be using the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.

Chairman of the Board - Mr. Khin Soe is the Chairman of the Board of APEX Airlines. He is a successful entrepreneur and respected businessman whose strategic vision and astute business acumen has built the APEX group of companies. Mr. Khin Soe is passionate about aviation. It is his desire to build a world-class, full-service Myanmar grown airline that is second to none, that has led to the creation of APEX Airlines. He is also the and Chairman of the following organizations;
Executive Director – Ms ThawdaAung is the Executive Director and Group Director of APEX Airlines. She brings to the team her strong leadership skills and valuable experience gained from her positions in our related organizations including networking with other corporate entities and government ministries.
Chief Flight Operations Officer - Captain Aung Myint is the Chief Operating Officer, Flight Operations in our airlines. He began his career as a Major, Dy. Squadron Commander in the Myanmar Air Force and was most recently Director of Flight Operations at Asian Wings Airlines. His previous positions include Line Captain at Myanma Airways and Kingfisher Airlines, Dy. Manager Flight Operations at Air Mandalay and also Operations Manager at Air Bagan. He is highly respected in the Myanmar Aviation Industry and appointed as a Designated Check Pilot (DCP) by the Myanmar DCA.
Chief Pilot - Captain Kyaw Zya Than is the Chief Pilot (Manager Flight Operations) in our airlines. His previous positions include First Officer at Myanma Airways and Air Equator. He took the responsibilities as the Safety Officer and First Officer at Air Bagan Airlines. He was most recently Line Captain, Safety Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and TRI at Asian Wings Airlines. He is highly respected in the Myanmar Aviation Industry and appointed as a Designated Check Pilot (DCP) by the Myanmar DCA.
Chief Engineer - Volker Wolf is our Apex Airline’s Chief Engineer. He comes from Eurowings and Air Dolimiti in Munich, Germany. He has an excellent track record and experience with ATR family of aircraft. Before joining Apex Airlines, Mr. Wolf was with Villa Air in Maldives for two (2) year where he was responsible for introducing ATR 72-500/600 aircraft to the fleet and train local engineers.
Manager Quality Assurance – Aroj Kumar Rath is a licensed aircraft engineer qualified on the ATR 72 series and the Airbus A 319/A320/A321. He was previously Assistant Manager of Engineering Quality at KINGFISHER AIRLINES Ltd. (India).
Accountable Manager/ Business Development Officer – Miss Nang Thin Zar Htun who has a BA – specializing in Business English and holds MBA degree as well, is responsible for Business Development and Operations. She has developed programs to provide positive, individualized customer care and planning to have a good return to the company by innovative way for producing new products. The airline will always maintain clear and positive communications with its passengers, travel and ticketing agents. As accountable manager, she coordinates with the operations teams (Ground and Flight Ops) and as required involves in the operations for smooth run.
